CLEARLINK Announced as Utah's 15th Fastest Growing Company at the Utah 100 Event
SALT LAKE CITY – October 2009 – The Mountain West Capital Network announced CLEARLINK as Utah’s 15th fastest growing company at its annual Utah 100 Event on October 23rd. Following two consecutive years in the top five, CLEARLINK executives were very pleased with the high ranking in spite of being well beyond the typical explosive growth years of a young company. “There is a big difference between revenue growth and bottom-line profitability.” Said Adam Mergist, CLEARLINK’s former VP of Finance and new VP of Operations, “We scaled back on several verticals last year that looked good on paper from a total revenues standpoint, but they were actually hurting profitability. Adjustments have made CLEARLINK a much more stable company, positioned us for sustainable long-term growth while maintaining our position as one of Utah’s fastest growing companies. We are very proud of that.”
Like most companies that have experienced financial adversity in the past year, CLEARLINK could point to the economy as the culprit for the slow-down. They could point to that, but they don’t. “We’ll never use market conditions as an excuse for poor performance, if anything, a down market is full of opportunities.” said CEO Phil Hansen. The company is one of only four companies to make the top 15 list two years in a row and the only company to make the top 15 three years consecutively. “0 to 60 mph is the speed that everyone focuses on, we’re more of a 60 to 120 kind of group.” Hansen continued.
CLEARLINK is anxiously preparing for 2010 with the introduction of two new business channels and some unrivaled employee benefit programs. VP of Organizational Development, Dan Eyring said, “Our plan is to make 2010 the year that we not only invest in the growth of the business, but significantly invest in our employees’ opportunities to grow as individuals. At the end of the day, our goal is the happiness of the people that make this company thrive.
